National Federation of the Blind of Washington: Greater Seattle Chapter Meeting

Come join us for the monthly meeting of the NFB of Washington Seattle chapter. Please see the details below. Come as you are, come as yourself, everybody is welcome, whether you are blind, low vision, or an ally of our movement.

This restaurant has a bus line nearby, beautiful, and delicious food, and a Braille menu.

This month:

  *   A reminder that elections for 2027 are coming up, and we will be encouraging people to think about maybe running for a position on our board. It is just two months away, but time does fly. And, to vote in our chapter, one must be a dues-paying member, with memberships costing only $5 for the year, much cheaper than your average Uber, Instacart or even streaming annual plans! 😊
  *   We’ll have some members talking about their convention experiences that they have been to. Come to listen and learn.
  *   NFB has put out a program for youths called Youth Slam in the past. It has been on a hiatus, and it is coming back in 2027. Come and learn new opportunities for participation in this amazing program and hear from folks who have done it.
  *   We will also be discussing our annual NFBW Seattle chapter Holiday Party, taking place on December 12, 2026. So, stay tuned and come to hear more.
  *   And of course, much more, including the monthly listen of the NFB Presidential Release and possibly a philosophy topic.

So, come for the meeting, stay for the food, kinship, and connections. Let’s build the National Federation of the Blind!
