[Njagdu] NJAGDU and Other Guide Dog Users at 2014 NFBNJ State Convention

To All NJAGDU Members:

 

Please share this message with any guide dog user attending the 2014 NFBNJ
State Convention. Please also let in a warm and friendly manner those whom
are just visiting or not NJAGDU members of this message and working with a
guide dog/service dog. Each guide dog user has been trained at their
respective guide dog schools on picking up after dogs after they have
relieved themselves. We have agreed with the hotel that they are not
responsible to pick up for us. 

 

The Location of the guide dog relief area is copied and pasted here from
this year's state convention agenda:

"Guide Dog relief area is located at the back of the hotel on the grassy
area near the delivery service entrance."

 

The following is copied and pasted from a message by Joe Ruffalo from the
meeting pertaining to all attending this year's state convention:

"Guide Dog relief area:

A print and Braille notice will be available at the hotel's front desk
informing where the guide dog relief area is located. Those with guide dogs
will inquire where the guide dog relief area is located when they check into
the hotel. The location is also mentioned in the agenda. If you see anyone
at convention with a guide dog, especially if they are only there for the
day, inquire if they are aware of where the guide dog relief area is
located. There will be only one relief area this year, and each handler is
required to pick up their own stuff to throw into the trash."
