Dear all,

 

                I think this would be a good thing for you to do, as the
Foundation fighting Blindness promulgates a very poor message about
blindness that only supports their fund raising goals but is very contrary
to our message of empowerment and self-determination. JMHO!

Happy Weekend to everyone!

Hello there,  I wanted to let everyone know that  besides  the Disability
Awareness Day on April 25th there is also another event that will give us an
opportunity to spread awareness.    I am reaching out to see if anyone is
interested in manning a table at the New Jersey Vision Walk which is taking
place in Clark, New Jersey, the foundation fighting blindness has offered us
a free community table where we can distribute our materials.  

  Below is the information, if anyone is interested please let me  know.
There should be anywhere from 200 - 300 people in attendance and you do not
have to walk you can just go and sit at the table handing out our
information.

 

New Jersey Vision Walk

Saturday, April 25
Oak Ridge Park Clark, NJ

Registration Begins:  9:00 A.M.
Walk Begins:  10:00 A.M.

Since 2006, Vision Walk has raised over $35 million to support the mission
of the Foundation.  Over 50 walks are planned for 2015. 

The Vision Walk is a fun, family-friendly 5K (3.1 mile) walk complete with
music, food, kids activities, bounce houses and more!  Join people like you
who are committed to changing the future for their friends and family
members affected with retinal degenerative diseases.

Hello Everyone,

On Saturday, April 25th the NJAGDU Division will be participating in
disability Awareness Day.  Here we will spread awareness and information on
the importance of Guide Dogs as well as Dusty's law.

If anyone would like to take part in the day please let me know.
