Hi all. Below is a message from Kathryn Webster who is in the Teach
Act Taskforce in NABS. Please consider writing up a letter to your
representatives. If you need me to check the roster to let you know
who your representative is and what district in which you live/go to
school in, just let me know. I've attached the letter I've written as
a sample as well. It only took me 15/20 minutes to write and
proofread, and that's a small chunk of time to pay for something this
important.
Katherine told me she opes to have at least 2 letters by tomorrow, and
more can come later. I hope someone else will send in a letter along
with me. More are welcome till the 1st, so spread the word.
Fellow scholars, a small group of nabs members have combined to form a
Teach Act task force. It is exceedingly critical for us, as determined
students, to speak up at this coming Washington seminar. I am
collecting testimonies from students throughout the U.S. in order for
us to share these letters with congress. Please consider writing a
brief letter, at most a page, to your respective representatives
outlining any in accessibility barriers in the classroom. Please email
these to me as attachments by December 20. My email is
kathrynwebster.nfb at gmail.com thank you so much in advance!
