[Oabs] Board meeting tonight

I'll try to explain it as best I can, but it can be difficult to
visualize from writing alone. Deborah, if you need clarification feel
free to let me know. I understand the system now so I'm happy to
explain it over the phone, and I'm sure Aleeha wouldn't mind either
since this part of the project was her great idea (Speaking in terms
of working smarter rather than coming up with it, that credit goes to
Maryland).

Instead of using index cards, which only yield 3 tickets with the
halves joined vertically one on top of the other, this system uses
standard 8 by 11.5 braille paper. In short you braille a line of Cs
to start perferating horizontally, then you go to the next line and go
across. On the left side you write the word number with the ER sign.
Then you space a bit and write an L to create vertical perferation.
Then you write the abreviation for number, NO. You then go to a new
line and write the ticket number under each version of the word number
and another L under the first one. Then go down a line and braille a
line of Cs to separate this ticket from the next. Your finished
product will show two halves of the ticket with a vertical line
between them that you can use to tear. One side of the ticket, the
one with number spelled out, will be longer than the other side with
the abreviation. The idea is that you give the customer the longer
half of the ticket and put the short half in the kitty for the
drawing. It just creates one more layer of organization because if
you still have a longer and less-abreviated "number" ticket you
haven't sold it yet. You also use more space by doing this but
ultimately less paper since the pieces of braille paper yield more
than 3 tickets and aren't quite as flimsy as the index cards.

Aleeha and I created a precise template over the phone the other day.
She figured out how to replicate the spacing with her brailler while I
wrote down her step-by-step instructions. The template was clear
enough for me to look over it a few times after our conversation and
understand the system better. I also replicated the tickets using the
template and they fit the description pretty well down to the number
of spaces Aleeha told me to use, so we should be able to use that.
