No Do-Overs
No matter how hard you try, you are bound to make mistakes. That’s just part of being human and living in a sinful world. No one is perfect except for God and anytime you lose sight of Him, you will fall–just like Peter did walking on the water. The minute he took his eyes off of Jesus, he began to sink. Too many people get to the end of their lives and wish they could go back and relive their lives so they could make better choices. They wish they had finished college, spent more time with their children, never cheated on their spouse, and on and on. But, no one gets a “do-over” or a second chance to undo the mistakes they have made. Life doesn’t allow us to go back in the past and fix what we have done wrong, but it does allow for us to live each day better than our last. When you’ve done something that you regret, or you feel discouraged and depressed because you’re reaping the results of bad choices that you made, don’t despair. Don’t give up because of one bad chapter in your life–your story doesn’t end there. Most importantly, God doesn’t give up on you! Instead of looking in your rearview mirror, ask for forgiveness and strength to make better decisions in the future. Pray for divine guidance and lean on Jesus for every choice you make. You simply can’t go wrong when you are getting wisdom from God. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 7:10, “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” The most important thing when you stumble and fall is to reach for God’s hand and allow Him to help you up–He is always there waiting with His outstretched hand. TEXT: Philippians 3:13-15, Isaiah 43:18-19, Acts 3:19, Ecclesiastes 5:20

Bible Texts:
Philippians 3:13-15 NKJV - Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.

Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV - "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert."

Acts 3:19 NKJV - "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Ecclesiastes 5:20 NKJV - For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.
