Christine,
When I came across the similar problem, I used the speech scheme option in
jaws. The feature can be accessed by using the command jaws key+alt+S.
Unfortunately, I am not exactly sure is to how many speech scheme does Jaws
9 has. I am using a later version.
HTH.

Subject: [Social-sciences-list] A JAWS Related Inquiry
Hi All,
I am working on dissertation stuff and am coming across a JAWS related
issue that I wondered if anyone knows of a solution for.
I have several things in my dissertation (both within text and
references) that need font style changes such as super scripting,
underlining, bold, italics... It is becoming a major pain to check these by
going to the character and pressing insert+f (I am using JAWS 9.0 with
Windows XP). Any information as to how I might be able to make JAWS
automatically report this info would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Christine
