[Ag-eq] Icelandic horses

Hello:

are any of you familiar with Icelandic horses?

They are a small, sturdy and gaited horse.  They are really more pony sized.  They are suppose to have very calm temperaments.

I'm looking at one to buy.  I want to take him out for a long ride to se if his movement is easy on my body.  He is suppose to be very smooth, but I don't know if it will make a difference for me.

If any of you have experience with this breed I would appreciate feedback.
