Hi Nella, Yes, our daughter is now protected from rabies. The funny thing is that our son is too. He was a canine handler in the Air force and he had the rabies vaccine too. It is available to humanns that work with animals like vets and animal handlers. I think the human vaccine has to be renewed, I don't think it is for life. JODY
