Hi all,
A few years ago our dughter was invited over to a friend's house to see her
new baby racoon. Our daughter said she did not want to touch it because it
was a wild animal. Her friend said that the coon had been to the vet and
they had done racoon rescue before. Our daughter then held the baby racoon
and fed him his bottle. He was so adorable, He just drank his bottle
slobbering all over our daughter's hand. then two days later he died of
rabies.
There were 244 people at her friend's house that day and they all had to go
through rabies treatment. It was a real mess, more legal then medical
because our daughter didn't have health insurance and her friend's dad said
he would take care of her. What he admitted to was that he would help her
with the paperwork not the expenses of tratment.
Now years later our daughter is immune to rabies and she has a new
appreciation of rabies. Oh and she lost a friend over it.
She still doesn't like racoons.
JODY
