I have a hard time imagining all that rain.  It used to rain quite a lot when I
lived in Arkansas, but I've almost forgot what it is here in Arizona!

It sounds as if your soil is very rich.  I wonder if you will need much compost.

We have snakes and such here, so far the only snakes in the yard have been Bull
Snakes.  They are good since they eat mice and such, so I leave them alone. 
There seem to be a record amount of coyotes this year.  They have been all over
the neighborhood for months now.  So far they haven't bothered any of my
animals.  One chased a little dog that belongs to a neighbor, but that's all.
