On Friday I got 4 new chicks; 2 Silver Laced Wayendottes and 2 Gold Laced
Wayendottes. Sorry, I probably didn't spell that right!

They are 2 weeks old and have already grown since Friday. I've been wanting to
try this breed, so had to buy some when I saw them at the feed store. Our
temps have been in the 80's and 90's so they have been out in the sun during
the day. They have to go in the tack room at night to stay warm enough. I've
never had chicks this small before, so and having fun with them. I can't
believe how much they eat, for being so small!

I have all my vegetables planted except for peppers and egg plant; I haven't
found any healthy plants. My lettuce is big enough to pick and make salad.
I'm building a couple more raised beds for fall gardening.

The citris trees are blooming here and it smells so nice; this is one of my
favorite times.

What's everyone else doing?

Nella
