I think a few years ago I read about a blind woman using a chain saw.  I'll have
to do an internet search to see if I can find the article again.

I have to admit that loud tools make me nervous; I hate how their sound blocks
out everythihng else.

When I was very young, probably 5 my Dad cut his leg quite badly with a chain
saw.  My Dad brother and I were all in the woods cutting fire wood.  Well, Dad
was cutting fire wood, my little brother and I were suppose to be throwing the
wood into the back of the truck.  We weren't much help because we were so
young.  After he realized that his leg was cut we tried driving back to the
house, about 1/4 of a mile.  The old farm truck refused to start, so we had to
walk.  My poor Dad was bleeding the whole way.  I was a very sensetive child,
so I cried the whole way!  When we got to the house Mom was able to drive Dad
to the clinic in the car and he got patched up.  Chain saws have made me a
little nervous ever since.

I think the electric ones may be easier to use, but not sure.  Knowing myself I
would probably cut the cord in half!

I hope you are able to figure out a way to do it.  Maybe you should get your own
saw, so as not to injure your husband's!
