[Ag-eq] OT: measuring cooking oil

I hope people will forgive the off-topic, but a while back we were 
discussing alternative cooking techniques, and I have a related question.
What is a good technique for measuring a tablespoon of cooking oil?  My oil 
is room temperature, and I pour it into the tablespoon over a cup, so I 
don't spill everywhere, but I have trouble feeling when the spoon is full 
and end up wasting oil.  Is there a better way?
