I have been wanting to get back to having my own goat's milk for some time, but I have not had a
buck for years and Heidi is rising 6 years, so is too old to start having kids and those that I have
seen on TradeMe are either too expensive for my skinny pocket, have gone by the time I see the ad, or
are too far away, but, on Saturday, I came across one that fitted my requirements, she is, as yet,
unmated 3 quarter Nubian, is an affordable price and the present owner will have her mated to a
purebred Nubian and will deliver her.
Some of you will know that finding suitable names for animals is one of my small passions, and as
the doe does not have a name yet, it allowed me to give her a choice of my own, and that is Mali.
For some reason, I thought that the Nubian desert was in the republic of Mali, but I find that it is
not. The Nubian is the western part of the Sahara and is in Egypt and the Sudan, but I didn't fancy
calling her Egypt or Sudan, so even though Mali is not quite as appropriate as I had thought, it is
a nice name so Mali she will be.

Jewel:

Sorry to here about the water feature in your house.

I have an on going leak problem. Twice the roofer thought he fixed it, but then
it's leaked again. We haven't had rain in so long that it hasn't mattered. The
next time it rains the roofer says he will come, get into the attic and
hopefully find the leak. Then I will need to get the roof fixed and then the
ceiling in my bedroom.

When it rains I've had to move the furniture around and put out pots for the
water. I hate that ping ping sound in the pots. Now the cieling is sagging
and it is going to be such a mess to rip it out and replace it.

I want to refinance my house, but I can't until I get this fixed. Oh, the joys
of home ownership!

I hope everything else is going well for you.

Nella
