[Ag-eq] Potatoes

I started digging my potatoes yesterday.  They're the best I've ever grown, 
nice and big!  And 2-4 potatoes for every one I planted.  I grew Red Pontiac 
this year.  I think our unusually cool summer helped. And, as a bonus, I put 
lots of compost and leaves around the potatoes to keep the soil loose, and 
now I have really nice soil to put in a fall crop.  I put in some lettuce in 
one spot, and I'll put carrots or turnips in another.
Google says to store potatoes in "a cool, dark, well-ventilated place".  I'm 
not sure where that might be.  The basement's not hot, but not particularly 
cool.  Google says the fridge isn't the best, but it may be the best I have. 
Wish I had a root cellar.
