What are broad beans? Lima beans?
My favorite pole beans are the wide, flat Italian green beans.  I also like 
the edamame, and fava beans.  The edamame are cute.  The plants are fuzzy, 
and so are the bean pods.
The fava beans are like big peas or chickpeas.  They like cool weather, 
which reminds me I could plant some now.
None of my beans are doing at all well this year.  It's been a very cool 
summer, so maybe that's why.

A rabbit or something is really doing a number on my garden.  He ate half my 
squash leaves the other day.  Now I sprayed some smelly stuff on it that's 
supposed to repel critters.  It's certainly repelling me.
