[Ag-eq] caring for minis

Jewel:

Yes, I think donkeys can be quite loud. There are several cows near by that are
noisy and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Jack was at least 30, so he had a long good life. He got down and the vet could
not figure out why he couldn't get up. He tried and tried to stand, but just
couldn't do it. He was down for over 30 hours and then he coliced; there was
nothing to do but put him down. It was very sad, but I didn't want him
suffering.

Cruiser, the horse seems to be depressed now that Jack is gone. I really don't
want a full sized equine; I don't ride Cruiser enough, so don't need another.
I love mules, so getting a mini would be a good way to have one. I like
donkeys and have been told that they will help keep dogs and coyotes from the
goats. So a donkey could have two jobs, protecting the goats and being a
friend for Cruiser.

How are things for you?

What is going on in your part of the world?

Nella
