[Ag-eq] Winter protection

Spring it is!  October, certainly, lived up to its reputation for being  windy!
The last couple of days have been, compared to the, somewhat less than, gentle zephyrs we have had 
for the past few weeks, relatively calm and the daytime temperatures have been mild:  between 12 and 
20c.
