[Ag-eq] Can it be spring? The birds think so!!!

This year's * winter has been more like spring, with just the odd wintry day.
A short time ago, I was out in the drive dealing with a bush that had got way too big for its boots,
then:  twitter--twitter--twerp!   overhead went a flock of migratory birds that I have always called
oyster catchers.  They are not heard, normally, until October, but here we are, August 1st and they
are back!
However, on the other hand, my weeping dwarf pussy willow is not showing any sign of catkins, so
perhaps it is dead!
