[Ag-eq] Sprouts

I guess that my question asking about the identity of sprouts has been answered. To me, they sound
ghastly: a bit like eating lawn clippings, and I don't think that I will be trying them any time
soon!!! but, having said that, I realise that I am, to use a well-known aphorism, possibly,
"biting my nose off to spite my face" and if I had the nerve to try them, I might find that sprouts
are lovely, but as I can't persuade anything but weeds to germinate, I can use that as a legitimate
excuse for not having a crack at sprouting sprouts!
I do believe that there are so-called weeds that, when young, are very good to eat, an example is a
common: common, that is, to me: fat hen. I am sure that you would have it but what your name for
it would be, well! I don't know.
You do have to be very watchful as it grows very fast and can whizz past its palatable stage, near
enough to overnight!

Oh, interesting. What do you put in your mixes?
The mix I bought has alfalfa, clover, arugula, cress, radish, dill and
fenugreek. I like it. I don't like my greens really spicy. Though a dash
of red mustard is always exciting.

You put a screen across the top and just rinse with water and then drain
daily.
