[Ag-eq] Tree report

Jodi, congratulations on your new dog! What a great name!

Jewel, I pick figs by holding the fruit and stem firmly, then wiggling the stem loose from the tree. Sometimes I cut it a bit with my thumbnail. Sometimes the stem pulls loose from the fig top, if the fig is real ripe. I don't mind this, since I just pop the fig in my mouth. Fresh, sun-warmed fig, Yum!

Hello Jewel,

Wow, you have been having unusually hot weather and we have been having unusually cold weather. This morning it was 9° below 0 Fahrenheit when we got up.

I just returned from the Seeing Eye with my new guide dog. He is a male German Shepherd. His name is chief.

Going the Seeing Eye was an incredible experience! The school is now 90 years old. They have thought of everything! I also gained 8 pounds because the food was so good! Well now I get to walk it all off with this fantastic new dog.

I don’t have any advice on how to pick figs. I would be curious though.

Stay cool and will try to keep warm

JODY
