This is a job opportunity that Suzanne in Cleveland sent to her chapter and to Ohio-Talk, thought may be of interest to some. Looks like applicants must be legally blind and move to Pennsylvania.

Good afternoon NFB members!

I would like to take a brief moment of your time to inform you that we are still seeking 35-40 individuals that are interested in a career opportunity under a Federal Contract coordinated through the National Industries for the Blind (NIB).

Keystone has already relocated several individuals from different states across the United States to Pennsylvania. Not only do we provide relocation assistance, we also assist in setting up public transportation for you to be able to get to and from your place of employment. Aside from this, we have a Services Department here at Keystone that include transportation, support services, Life Skills programs, a variety of support groups, information & referral services, talking books, talking newspapers, assistance with assistive technology.

Keystone anticipates quality performance under this contract agreement that will allow for a long partnership with the Federal Customer. As we expand the positions into the various functions within the contract, we will see new and more complex responsibilities assigned to our recruited individuals.

Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assistance with the processing of sensitive documents
* Preparation of various sized mailout material
* Operation of certain machinery and assistive technology in support
of the processing center
* Manifesting of received and outbound material.

Positions require a national security Federal background check. These investigations encompass personal information of the applicant to include employment, education and residence history including personal contacts and all aspects of the individual's conduct. Due to the extensive investigation, the on-boarding process is lengthy; however, the opportunity has been worth the wait for many of our new employees. Applicants must be legally blind in order to apply, and must possess a high school diploma or GED, as well as be a US citizen to work under the contract. The position begins at $12.39 per hour with a $4.27 health & welfare benefit.

We have a bright future ahead of us with this opportunity, and we are continually introducing new technology and ideas to the contract and to our customer.

We would love to discuss this opportunity further with you and see if we can set you up with a new career opportunity! Please either email me back directly, or call Cristina Hittle at: 724-347-5501, ext 240.

You can also go to www.keystoneblind.org <http://www.keystoneblind.org> to
review all information regarding Keystone, as well as apply online! For your convenience, I have attached an Application for Employment. If you should require this in LARGE PRINT, please let me know so that I can get one mailed out to you.
