[AutonomousVehicles] Uber Announces Major Deal To Deliver Food Autonomously

Uber and Zipline announced a strategic partnership to bring autonomous
drone deliveries to Uber Eats customers across the United States.

KEY DETAILS

Target Goal:
The companies are targeting 1 million drone deliveries per day by the end
of 2029.

Initial Rollout:
Deployments are expected to begin later in 2026 in markets where Zipline
already operates, including:

Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
Houston, Texas
Pea Ridge, Arkansas

The service is then expected to expand to dozens of additional U.S. cities.

Delivery Speed:
Eligible Uber Eats orders, including restaurant meals and everyday
essentials, are expected to arrive in approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

Strategic Investment:
As part of the multi-year partnership, Uber is also making a strategic
investment in Zipline.
