Young People For: Fellowships for Progressive Students

Applications Due May 2nd!

Young People For (YP4) is a strategic long-term leadership development program that identifies, engages, and empowers the next generation of progressive

leaders to create lasting change in their communities.

The yearlong YP4 Fellowship presents fellows with opportunities for training and networking with other progressive leaders from across the country at our

regional trainings and annual National Summit in Washington , DC .

Check out videos from recent events! (
www.youtube.com/youngpeoplefor)

Throughout the year, fellows will work one-on-one with a YP4 coach to build their capacity through leadership development activities, as well as through

the planning and execution of a meaningful social justice project of their own design.

YP4 provides organizational support and resources to help fellows meet the goals and objectives of their innovative projects including:

-A curriculum-based framework for engaging in social justice work

-Connections to established progressive leaders

-The tools and resources necessary to win on your issues

-One-on-one leadership development and professional training

open to undergraduates at all two- and four-year institutions. Applications for the fellowship are due May 2, 2010 .

Please nominate students on the YP4 website or by e-mailing your nominations (including name, school, and contact information) directly to William Dennis

at wdennis at pfaw.org. We will be in touch with you soon to discuss more details about the program. Thank you for helping us identify and invest in the next

generation of progressive leaders.
