hi Fatimah,
Welcome to the list. I am Hina Altaf and I am the moderator of this
list. I am so glad to hear that you are working with someone who is
interested to come to US for higher education. I myself am an
international student here. I am originally from Pakistan and came to
US to study computer science. I did my under graduate at carroll
university. it is a small university and the disability department is
very well equipped with what a blind student might need. When I
started they had no experience with any of the requirements but during
my stay there, this one became the best university. all the larger
universities are well equipped but carroll university was a very small
one.
There are also full bright scholarships that this student might be eligible for.
you can also try nfb scholarships and acb scholarships.
I will certainly let you know if i hear of any others.
the university's web site is:
www.carrollu.edu
thanks.
Hina.
