Thanjks everyone for the info. I emailed my old O&M instructor and she
said that someone would have to come out and measure me. That could
take a while, that is why I was asking. I should have my chair in about
a week or so. Getting a pronto M71 wish me luck.

Holly,
While I was at the Carroll Center, I experimented with this very thing.
To
me, the longer the cane, the more space you can cover. When I was
outside, I
used the longer cane, which was about fifty-six inches, and I used the
shorter cane inside. Both my canes had a roller ball on them to make it
easier to move the cane across surfaces.

I use '58 though somewhere between 60 and 65 is best. I find carbon
fiber canes best for my hand strength (I have CP) but switched to
aluminum because they're a little more durable.
