[Blind-rollers] update

Paul, I was introduced to the blindness movement by persons in the NFB. I
swear I would have never ventured out of my mother's home, without the
impoweringf message of the NFB.
The NFB has room for all, including me who has her toes in both
organizations. The one ACB group I belong to might go poof. Am I rejoining
another affiliate, don't see any that flip my buzzer. So I will stay in the
NFB Crafters division and work a bit with my State NFB. But many things we
do is universal in both groups I am happy to see. I have friends in both
groups and don't care about the inner sanctum of either.
So sorry, I have for a long time belonged to both consumer groups. My
interest as I said above is waning with ACB. We won't talk about jelly fish,
an affiliate running them, and I could go on.
Becky who is a proud guide dog handler of Jake

Becky,
You could always start a special interest affiliate (as they're known in
ACB) I'm not trying to play traffic cop, but Bibi posts to the list
frequently, and as someone who has found a lot of strength from the NFB's
message for close to 15 years, it just seems like she could use some
involvement with the organized blind movement,
For me as a person with multiple disabilities I found the NFB's message
empowering (even if most blind people are totally ignorant of other
disabilities.) Contrast this to the ACB where there is no philosophical glue
holding the ship together, more of a talking shop than a vehicle for
collective action and mutual support.
I'm curious as to your experiences within ACB?
Best,
Paul
