HI all,
You might remember me asking you all so many questions about wheelchair
use.
Well the exciting thing is, it looks like my client is only around two or
three thousand dollars away from getting the chair best suited to him... I
really don't see this as being such a big deal.... in comparison to being
14 thousand dollars away <grin>

Unfortunately for me, I am moving offices so have to transfer his case
over to one of my other colleagues.... just as we are getting to the really
fun part!

When I have more info for you about the final specs of his chair I'll let
you all know but I just wanted to thank you all so much for your support.

Wow, awesome Bibi, It is fun to get out there and do things and help
people.
Good for you, smile.

How about others on list, what are you all doing?

I still have my home based knitting business. The Department of Services
for the Blind in my State financed the equipment, but I also had my
financial part to kick in. We have been in business with customers all over the
country for going on five years. Wow, lots of ponchos for adult and children
have gone out of this studio, along with baby blankets, afghans, Baby swea
ters, pretty scarves, winter scarves, cell phone carriers for the neck or
belt etc.

I am a member of the Lions Club. I am heading off in a few moments to my
first day at the gym. Hey wish me luck, giggle. The first time I called
this gym I might as well have been speaking a foreign tongue. He was so
clueless about disability. The next day I did get a call from a lady who has
worked with people with multiple disabilities. She would not be my teacher,
but she did say she would speak with my teacher, once we decided on a class.
So my teacher is going to meet me at the door and we will talk about
accommodations, orienting me to the basic facility, that sort of thing. I am
excited as I have got to get out and move around, well as best I can, smile.
Life is about adventure, smile.

Hi, Becky,
Odie and I have been doing well: we've been busy doing lots.
I am back to doing some volunteering downstairs in the service
cordinator's office making sure that the elderly residents get their monthly
Commodities and offer to help them get it to their apartment if they need assistance.
That's cool there's a yellow Odie and I'm glad to hear that big yellow lab
and his partner are doing well.
Of course, my Odie turns ten years old tomorrow.
Can't believe it as he doesn't display the behavior of an older dog, but
moreover, a large one-year-old puppy.
I'm back with the blind bowlers' league here in Colorado and Odie
accompanies me over there too.
He enjoys going with me as he gets to see another four-legged furry friend
of his who happens to be a guide dog from GDA named Liam.
Liam is a black lab and smaller than Odie, but my friend Natalie and I
joke around with one another calling them twins since they both look alike.
One is smaller than the other, but they are both jet black.
Bibi and son Odie
who have a big event to go attend tomorrow afternoon with the Colorado
