[Blind-rollers] I'm new

Hi
Because I'd had the spinal cord injury from the 1996 car accident and with a 
background of OI they didn't question it I just said I use my chair in the 
house and though now because of miraculous healing, I use a walker most of 
the time in the house I do have times when I use it in the house but they 
are real sticklers about this.  Back 2 years before the car accident when I 
first got the power chair I was just on regular insurance they hd denied me 
a power chair or any chair because they said I could walk 25 feet.  However 
after looking over my record and seeing how many breaks I'd had and how much 
they had paid for they decided it was cost effective to get me a chair.

That was my problem. I can still walk around my small apartment but
outside it I'm extremely limited on how much I can walk. That was
another battle. If I'd not have been in an apartment with long hallways
I don't know that I'd have gotten one. They told me it doesn't matter if
you can get out of your house or not, you have t oneed it in your house.
Luckily my apartment building was considered my house because of getting
to the mail and office and such so that's how I got aproved. I'm not
sure what I'll do ifwe ever move and I need another chair.
