[Blind-rollers] cane handles

Hi again. 
I just had the chance to try using a long cane with my powerchair this last week and one thing that is abundantly clear is I need to modify my cane handle to make it easier to hold. 
What do you all do with your canes to make them easier to use? 
do any of you have any DIY ideas for how to change how cane grips feel?
