Hi all:
I wanted to learn about the experiences of wheelchair users and other mobility impaired Federationists in large gatherings such as the National Convention.
I haven't attended a National Convention since I began using my chair.
How do you navigate through the crowd? What are the attitudes of other federationists toward you and your mobility device.
Is there anything the Federation can do to help to make things easier?
What experiences have wheelchair users who need hoyer lifts had in doctor's offices and hospitals, have thy been denied service? Finally, I'm wondering if it might be both useful and fun to have a virtual meeting on Zoom, so we can actually talk to each other?
Thanks for letting me pick your brains.
