Maureen, this is exactly what I want to hear and keep in mind. Thank you dear lady, thank you.
Keep thinking gang.
I know I do not want the T shaped arm rests. They break. They may look nice, but the arms are what I use to get up to transfer. I had a friend make me covers for the arm rest as the leather like cover split and crack.
Warmly,
Becky

Hi
I have had a chair for six years and have complained because to transfer I have to slide to the edge of the seat which has caused skin issues and the whole deal is the chair is too high. It is at the height it is because of the tilt, recline and foot raising options which I use all the time. Anyway I would have liked to know if ther are longer footrests so more of my foot could be on the footrest for transfers and just found out last week after asking two different places several times that they can make the chair deeper with a different seat which will it lower, so check into footrests and how the height of the chair can be handled and what options there are like tilt etc. Also when I got the chair it didn't come with push handles for hanging things on because they said "It’s a power chair no one is going to be pushing it." However I had no way to carry things. They said I couldn't get them unless I bought them which I did so know exactly what you want on your chair before ordering it because the way insurance is now things that were just normal parts of the chair like push handles don't come with it.
Maureen

This week I am going to be measured for a new wheelchair. Any tips you all have speak up I would like to hear. Things you like about your own. Things you wish you had thought of to ask or get.
Warm thank you,
