[blindkid] Potty Training and eating independantly

I don't guess I have any grand tips to offer, but I'd point out that  
every child whether with vision concerns, other special needs, or  
absolutely typical (if there is such a thing) has his or her own  
timeline. Our blind daughter did quite well with potty training, as  
did her older, sighted, sister.

On the other hand, our "typical", very interactive, very verbal and  
very bright son, now just 2 days shy of 3-1/2 is giving us fits with  
the potty training. In his case, I think he is mostly "busy" and  
doesn't want to deal with it. We can remind him over and again and  
take him to "try" but still we are having only limited success. This  
is also one thing the kids really DO have much control over. We can  
make them go to the restroom itself, but we cannot cause them to  
actually "produce" a result, if you follow my meaning--

Still, for my son, I know this too will come with time. Be patient and  
consistent with your efforts and it WILL come!
