Glad to hear about the new family attending National! What a great experience for them! 
Are they from up your way? Please feel free to give them our contact info (email and/or phone). I'm sure Winona would be happy to talk to the teen, compare stories, etc. I'd be happy to talk with them, too, of course.

I believe the student prize for selling most tickets is $25, but I'm not sure. I know it is cash! You could contact RoseMarie, or ask at convention.

Unfortunately, we won't make convention this year due to work and family situations. Very strange to miss both State and National.  I'm having withdrawals! I hadn't missed either in 7 or 8 years.

Sounds like the trip to Sea World after State was great!

Do you know what the prize is for selling the most tickets? Is Winona able
to come with you this year? There's a new family from FL going for the first
time and they have a little girl that's 13. They received a national scholarship
and are VERY excited to go to Dallas. They've been attending our Saturday
events since September and were at state convention as well.

The National Organization of Parents of Blind Children is once again selling 50/50 raffle tickets. Last year's prize was $1100. All families attending the NFB convention in Dallas, July 3-9, are encouraged to see RoseMarie Bowman in Dallas to help sell these. There is a prize for the person selling the most tickets! Tickets are $1 each. 

Be sure to see RoseMarie, or one of the families at convention to purchase your tickets! 

Not attending convention? No problem! Contact RoseMarie at mouse1948 at hotmail.com to purchase in advance. Make checks to NOPBC and mail by June 28 to RoseMarie Bowman, 19030 Pelkey, Detroit, MI 48205. 

You do not have to be present to win!
