Mary,
    I have been looking at my library's new catalog and it is terrible (not that I got to chose it).  Among the things you need to consider:
-Does it work with different screen readers?  (My library system works better with NVDA than it does with System Access.  
			  I don't have access to JAWS and I haven't tried my ipad yet.)
-Does it allow you to move to different spots on the page to hear them or does it merely read the entire page starting with the URL?
			 (That is very annoying if you miss something that is read and want to reread it.)
