Have you heard? The host hotel for the 2013 NFB Convention (which also
hosts the 2013 NOPBC NO LIMITS! Conference is full. But don't despair!
First, consider finding a roommate who already has a room – even someone
you don't already know well. I know, I know, it's sounds intimidating. But,
in my experience, it has always – yes always – turned out very well.
* By rooming with another parent with a blind child, you have a built-in
support system for child care as well as a built-in playmate for your
child. You need not spend all your time together, but it's terrific to have
that extra relationship in place.
* By rooming with a blind adult (possibly from your state), you provide
your child with a blind role model and potential mentor and provide
yourself with the opportunity for a relationship with and guidance from an
individual who is at the place where your child is heading.
* Everybody saves money through splitting the hotel bill.
Alternatively, there is an overflow hotel less than a mile away: the Rosen
Plaza Hotel. It's close, and it is part of the same hotel that is hosting
the NFB Convention.
Please do not wait to get a room! We have a terrific program set for the
2013 NOPBC NO LIMITS! Conference, and the NFB Convention is not to be
missed!
