Hello List:

     I suggest extreme caution when purchasing used technology off Ebay etc. A Perkins classic brailler can almost always be serviced. I have seen various old braille embossers for sale. For all embossers, braille displays or notetakers, always get the serial number and contact the vendor to see if the unit can be serviced. A buyer can run into situations where parts are no longer available. Hope this helps.
