Hello Parents:

As some of you may know, I am a longtime member of the Federation from
Maryland who has served in various leadership roles, from chapter Vice
President to state student division President to Board member of the
National Association of Blind Students. I currently serve as a Board member
of the NFB Performing Arts Division. For many years I have been involved in
volunteer teaching at the Maryland BELL Program and mentoring individual
children and adults through the NFB.

This year I graduated from college with a Bachelor's in communications, and
I'm now searching for full-time employment. In the meantime, I would love to
help you and your students get the most out of Braille and access technology
as a freelance consultant/trainer! Please take a look at the flyer pasted
below and contact me off-list if you are interested in working together or
if you have any questions. Feel free to pass it on!

Cordially,

Chris Nusbaum

Connect to the world around you. Unlock new possibilities. Thrive with
vision loss. Achieve your goals.

Braille and assistive technology training from a user's perspective.

In our ever-changing, virtual world, it's important for us to
keep our skills current. That's even more true for those of us who are blind
and visually impaired, because with every passing update comes a change in
how an app, a Web site, or an entire operating system works with our
assistive technology. On top of it all, there's Braille-that efficient
six-dot system that keeps blind people literate, but is so seldom taught.
So, if you're blind or have low vision, how do you thrive in the Information
Age when there's so much to learn and so few who know how to teach it? Enter
concentrated, one-on-one Braille and/or technology training with a user just
like you!
