The issue is more that it is hard to get information as to what happens to the money. At least here in Minnesota, the other people asking for car donations are well known and well recognized charities. As
Dave mentioned, this subject has come up on other lists and people seem unable to really get a sense of what funds are used for. Some of their ads are national, particularly during the baseball play-offs and
world series, so it isn't surprising that many of us have heard the ads around the country.
