With a goal of improving the overall health of the guide dog community and its furry partners, a couple of the 2013-14 town hall forums, regularly hosted by Guide Dogs for the Blind, will focus on health topics, including, complementary health and wellness.
Do join Gary and his friends, on 21 November via telephone, for a guided discussion about the alternative health modalities of Healing Touch and of aromatherapy for our furry partners.

Discussing Healing Touch: Kristina Deutsch of Maryland
Kristina is a certified Healing Touch of Animals Practitioner, studying Healing Touch for Animals for over 5 years, including, tuning fork treatments; and the use of essential oils. After experiencing the successful practice of Healing Touch on her own dogs, a Golden Retriever with skin problems and a Shi Tzu with behavioral issues due to being rescued from a puppy mill, she decided to study alternative healthy modalities with a focus on animals. In addition to her Healing Touch Practice, Kristina is a self-employed accountant, with 25 years' experience.

Discussing Aromatherapy: Chelsie Bowden of Washington State
Chelsie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, continuing on to become a Licensed Massage Practitioner for people and animals. She has been using, studying and teaching about the benefits of essential oils for the past 5 years. Chelsie's guide, Stockton, loves to help demonstrate how to fully enjoy the benefits of Chelsie's work.
