Subject: [atj-leadership] Notice of Position Vacancy -- ED for Gender and Justice/Minority and Justice Commissions
Importance: High

Dear Alliance Leaders and Colleagues:

At Chief Justice Madsen's request, I am forwarding the attached position announcement for the Diversity Team Lead (aka Executive Director) for the Gender & Justice and Minority & Justice Commissions.

This is a terrific opportunity for our community. I can think of no more potentially effective position from which to initiate and support systemic change within the state judicial system that is consistent with our core vision and common values. The commissions offer a platform for institutionalizing awareness of the disproportionate denial of justice (civil and criminal) to women, children, ethnic and racial minorities and others (the majority of whom live at or near poverty) who face compounding barriers to securing access to and experiencing fair and impartial justice. I encourage those of you who meet the criteria to strongly consider applying. I ask all of you to encourage friends, colleagues and allies who understand and are committed to promoting inclusion, diversity and cross-difference competence as justice system imperatives to apply.

Applications will continue to be accepted through November 8th.

Jim Bamberger
