Hi Mike,
Your father may want to consult an estate-planning attorney licensed
in California. Issues that could impact the course of action he should
take include whether he (I) wants to get the houseout of his estate
now (and if so, whether or not this is in connection with
Medicaid/MediCal eligibility), or (ii) wants to make sure the house
goes to the two of you upon his death.
