Hello Ms. Harwood:

I seem to be asking you more questions and barely providing any solutions
... Shame on me!

Can you possibly find a way to record your classes and then write your own
notes from listening to the recordings? It's what I've done whether or not
I have notetaker(s) in tow and this has worked beautifully for me. My
notetakers have not been students in the same class as me. But they were
very, very user friendly even more so than a computer <smile>!

As for .PDF textbooks, I was able to take these and convert them to PLAIN
TEXT on my Braille notetaker; also, when I had opened them in Acrobat, I had
always resaved a copy in a text accessible format within the program. I did
encounter a lot of empty spaces most of the time in these books and I simply
edit them out.

If you are not an avid Braille user, my method may probably not work for
you; hopefully, the more knowledgeable folks on this list will chime in. In
the meantime, please hang in there!! You're in law school to succeed, I
have reason to believe that you'll make it in spite of the growing pains!

Sincerely,
Olusegun
Denver, Colorado
