[blindlaw] VITA Publications by the IRS

Dear Kelby,
I did VITA two years ago, and I have a couple of those publications in Word
-- namely 4491 and at least part of 4012.
However, they are from two years ago, so perhaps they are not relevant
anymore. In any event, my dad had to put in a painstaking amount of labor to
get them into a readable form. Let me know if you think what I have would be
relevant despite the two-year difference, and I would be happy to send them
to you off-list. From my experience, I did not wind up needing most of the
more graphic stuff in the publications thanks to the site walking me through
the preparation process and the easier-to-read textual components of the
publications.

Sincerely,
Emily

All,

Another tax question. I'm doing the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance through
my school's clinic, and we have several publications that we use in the
course of work. While the IRS has a lot of its forms and publications
accessible, I can't find any of these: P 4012, 4491, 4491-W, or 6744. Mostly
the problems are the inaccessibility of the decision trees in the PDFs and
the fact that sample forms (such as intake sheets) appear to be embedded in
the PDF as images, making it impossible to read. Does anyone know if there
are accessible versions of these anywhere?
