FWIW I really do recommend that you take this into your own hands.  A
simple call to the clerks office will get you the yes/no you need
immediately, and if the answer really is no, you can taked next steps
now rather than needing to wait for the pro bono coordinator to decide
or whatever bureaucratic steps are "supposed" to take place.  You will
unfortunately need to take on a lot of this stuff yourself in
practice, so you may as well start now.
