[blindLaw] Reccomendations for Braille display for use with LeNovo laptop

Up until recently, I was also using a focus 40 blue fifth generation. However, I’m switching to the new Brailliant because I prefer the command structure, and the editor. It allows you to quickly download books directly from sources like bookshare and NLS. I do not like to have to download books to an SD card and then load them onto the unit. this new display has direct access to the Internet via wireless network.

It has a braille keyboard, not qwerty, an SD card for storing notes and books in BRF format, accessed through the onboard Scratchpad utility. It does not have audio output. I find it useful as a standalone notetaker when I am conducting mediations as it lets me keep notes of the offers, counteroffers, and other information conveyed to me by the parties, and I don't have to lug a laptop between mediation rooms. The same goes for argument notes for court appearances.
