Hi Michael,
Thank you for your help. I believe a program called TEK (tao epsilon kai) is
used to create the math files. I don't know how it works - I was just told
the format.

Reading PDF directly you probably will not have a good way to do that.
Not all is lost though. It could be that the assignments are written
using LaTeX, in which case you could try using duxbury for braille, or
the jaws scripts from http://latex-access.sf.net for jaws to read it
better, or even learn LaTeX as LaTeX may be useful for you to write your
documents containing math. If the PDF isn't created from LaTeX (I can't
think of another format which commonly uses PDF for the output files)
then it might be possible to convert it to something useful although I
would need to know what format is used before I could suggest how you
could make it useful.

Should it be impossible to get back to the source file, the infty reader
may be able to do something although math may not be 100% accurate due
to the OCR being performed.
