[Blindmath] new to list with a question

Here's a longish way  - but mostly works with all Math symbols .

1) Use InftyReader (http://www.inftyreader.org ) to input the PDF file and
extract it into a MathML compliant format ( XHTML ) output. ( Has a trial
version available at the site )

2. Install the MathPlayer plugin (
http://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathplayer/ )  for InternetExplorer ( use
IE 5.5 or above )

3. Open the XHTML output using IE and use JAWS 10 or above to read the newly
created XHTML file .

P.S : there are a few limitations with Infyreader though and does not
convert 100% of the math symbols.
