Posted on behalf of my colleague, Geoff Freed:

Not long ago the National Center for Accessible Media at WGBH (NCAM)
announced the availability of some demonstrations of how the Popcorn.js
HTML5 Media Framework can be used to deliver screen-reader accessible
supplemental materials alongside video embedded in a Web page. Our two
prototypes-- http://ncamftp.wgbh.org/rd/hgp/ (which demonstrates
accessible text and images alongside video) and
http://ncamftp.wgbh.org/rd/quadratic/ (which demonstrates an approach to
accessible math)-- have recently been updated. On both sites, please read
the instructions and system requirements, then watch the videos to see
(and hear) accessible Wikipedia entries, glossaries, images with long
descriptions and math displayed as the video progresses along its
timeline. These demonstrations were made possible with funding provided by
the Reader's Digest Partners for Sight Foundation.

After viewing the demonstrations, please take a minute to complete a brief
survey by following the link found on each demonstration page.

Thanks very much.
